My father was in the early TV business starting in 1947. He sold Motorola TV's, and he had one that had been traded in and resold several times, and he decided to keep it the last time it was traded in. I still have it. It needs re-capped and some other minor items. His store was in a valley and we lived on a hill south of town and he did all of his demo's at our house. He first put up a 3 element Yagi, that was a very precise instrument. The ends of the element tubes were machined Aluminum plugs. In 1953 he put up the "Bedspring" antenna known as the Finco 400. He received stations from Pittsburgh, Akron, Johnstown, Erie, and at good times several other stations. The closest station was Pittsburgh WEWS about 65 miles south of us. I have been a Ham Radio Operator for 50 years and Antennas have been my bag. I live in S.E. Texas now, but my early years were in N.W Pennsylvania. Do you have a parts list and plans for the Finco 400. I'd sure like to reproduce it for my OTA reception? Thanks, Benny - W5TYZ - Benny Rhoads, Sun, 29 Nov 2020 9:59AM | |||||
