1912 T227 Series of Champions
Status:  22/25 cards

Multisport set of 25 cards, including 5 boxers (the champion of each main weight division) and four baseball players.  There are two types of backs, Honest Long Cut and Miner's Extra.  The cards are large for tobacco cards, similar in size to modern-day Topps.  I feel this is one of the most attactive sets ever produced; my goal is to complete the entire set.

For an excellent article on T227 cards, see "1912 T227 Series of Champions: A Mystery Set with a Missing Card" by John Bowden, Old Cardboard Magazine, Issue #10
