Also included are stars of yesteryear who (i) have borderline HOF statistcs (e.g., G. Hodges), (ii) have achieved significant milestones/accomlishments (e.g., Ned Williamson, who held the single-season home run record until Babe Ruth broke it in 1919), or (iii) have near-HOF caliber statistics, but who have been been permanently banned from baseball (H. Chase, E. Cicotte, J. Jackson, P. Rose and H. Zimmerman).
