1949 Leaf Issued in 1949, this 98 card set (plus 3 variations) is skip numbered. Distributed in 2 series, the first 49 are relatively common, the second series exceedingly difficult.
The backs of the cards have either a copyright date of '48 or '49, but they were most probably not issued until early '49, regardless of the date. No card has been seen with both dates on the back.
The common series also contains many color variations. Several of these can be seen in the gallery below. No premium is attached to any color variation. |
