Kings Park Festival 2012
The annual Kings Park Festival is a magnificent display of the unique Wildflowers of Western Australia. Enjoy the variety, colour and beauty captured in these Wildflower images, as well as wildlife and a few scenes of interest that captured my attention as I enjoyed walking the many pathways in Kings Park.

Boab Tree (Adansonia gregorii)
This huge Boab survived the long journey of over 3,200 kms from the Kimberley to its new location in Kings Park. Currently there is plastic around the base to prevent it getting too wet during winter. The Botanists say the tree is healthy and doing well.

From where I sat in Kings Park, I zoomed across the Swan River to the construction on the horizon (approx 16 km away), and it is definitely the new Fiona Stanley Hospital due for completion 2014.
