17 April 2010. Sadly the Wheel of Perth will close on 2 May 2010 and the Perth skyline will never be the same again. The reason for the closure is the commencement of work on the controversial Perth waterfront redevelopment plans with a $250 million price tag as revealed by Premier Colin Barnett and Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi.
