The view from a friend's hotel room before the event
This is what we saw as we arrived at the Captitol. Capitol Grounds are closed.
This is the other side of the "Capitol Closed" barriers
The "stage" is all set up
The view from the Capitol Grounds looking west. The building with the solar panels is the State Armory, where the state's Emergency Management Operations Center is located. This is where the Governor comes to tell us to stay off the roads when it's snowing. In the distance, straight up from the box truck, is the Cathedral that serves as the Diocean headquarters of Hartford. Fun fact: this is where my HS graduation ceremony took place.
The "stage" is set. Skimped a little on the set design budget.
Port, Starboard and Aft of this box truck had InfoWars videos playing in a loop
The Capitol Avenue side of the building
The east wing of the Capitol. Didn't quite catch the flag in all her glory. The breezes were swirling from everywhere in mid-40's temps
Col. Thomas Knowlton from Ashford is memorialized with a statue on the Capitol Grounds. I should probably delve a little deeper into his patriotic service
Col. Thomas Knowlton memorial statue. They haven't gotten around to taking HIM down yet
This is the assembled crowd as the first speaker took the podium
I'm not sure, but I think this is a State Representative who was sworn in for his first term in the GA on 6 Jan 2021
The purpose of this pic is to show Rocky from our radio airwaves performing his professional photography craft.
