She's very close to the porch, (post on left and hanging basket on right)
She's out there under the pine tree limb.

She decides it's time to go back to her baby, who is hidden in the reeds by the pond.

Found this grackle out in the yard today.
It's sad, and I don't know why he died, but his beautiful feathers still glowed.

David and I just read the online version of the Rome News Tribune and saw the terrible news about Bonnie and Mike.
We wanted to let their daughters and their families know our
thougths are with you. I loved the visit we had once at their farm where she taught us so much about the care of a pet sheep.
It was great to see how many animals were fortunate to be welcomed and call their farm home.
We miss you Shelly.

I read on cnn.com about your tragic loss of Mrs. Bonnie and the animals in your care.  It truly breaks my heart.  The only way I can try to understand this is that God has bigger plans for Mrs. Bonnie and the animals.

On behalf of myself and my wife we would like to express our deepest sympathies to Michael during this terrible time.  Words of mine can do no justice to the pain that you must be feeling.  We are so sorry...

I want to thank Bonnie for the reminder to look for the beautiful in what is around us every day.  Although I never met her, I read about her tragic death today and have been touched by her story and by the way that she lived her life, her gentle observations and her love of animals.
