1953 Dodge Power Wagon This is a one of a kind Custom built 1953 Dodge Power Wagon 1 ton 4X4 w/dual rear wheels. This truck started as a rust free cab and chassis. Complete body off restoration with modifications. All parts are NEW, NOS or rebuilt with new parts. All assembly fasteners are new. All steel was NEW or media blasted to bare metal. Frame, wheels and misc. parts powder coated. All paint PPG John Deere yellow and black (wet sanded and buffed). This is NOT a stock PW, it is capable of running at legal speeds and crawl at 100 to 1. Axles are a Dana 80 (F450 Ford) in the rear (with air bag over loads) and a Dana 70 (W300 Dodge) front axle. New Alcan leaf springs (custom spring hangers) (4 wheel discs with hydro boost under the floor & ARB lockers front and rear), 4.88 gears, a NEW HERO 3 speed transfer case 1to1 direct, 1.72 low mid gear, and 3.75 low (includes warranty). NP420 trans (1 3/8 input, 12" clutch) with new Chelsea PTO to run a hydraulic pump for hydraulic motor operated (thru electric hand controls) front mu2 winch & a mu3 winch in the rear that sets under the bed, a custom built 33 gal fuel tank (10 ga steel), gas pedal moved to the floor and clutch and brake pedal shifted over, custom bumpers and brackets in the rear to match the front that are 10" tall (1/4" plate) instead of the stock 8"(10 ga. plate) and a custom built aluminum radiator. This truck will be able to run single or dual wheels in the rear. (changing to extra single front and rear hubs from dual wheel hubs which are included), custom built fenders & running boards widened to cover the tread, AGR Rock Ram power steering with steer clear box and a custom bed made of 10 ga. cold roll steel with 1 1/2" thick oak flooring, and the Engine is a rebuilt 58 392 Hemi from a Chrysler Imperial. There is a new (York 210) engine operated air compressor for on board air to run air tools, rear over load bags and the ARB lockers, with reserve tanks and a new 1 wire 60 amp alternator. The truck also has a vintage Motorola radio complete new up grade with blue tooth AM FM stereo, USB, auxiliary in, 2- 6 1/2" JL audio speakers. (You Tube video below shows the radio build.) The object was to keep the truck as stock looking as possible but with functional modern up grades.

Engine: 392 Hemi from a 58 Chrysler Imperial. Complete rebuild (with build sheet), 40 over (400ci) Keith Black 10 to 1 Pistons, crank 10/10, 340 oil pump, Elgin cam, AVS Edelbrock carb, 60 amp 1 wire alternator, S/S valves, new springs, rebuilt rocker assembly's with hard chrome shafts, MSD ready to run dist. and coil, Taylor wires, new (York 210) air compressor for on board air supply, (could be converted to AC if need be). RARE NO NAME powder coated truck valve covers and RARE 4 hole truck manifolds with dual 2 1/2" aluminized steel exhaust with S/S Magna flow mufflers. AGR Rock Ram P/S system and steer clear box. New custom aluminum radiator. 3/16 steel custom radiator support frame. Summit electric fuel pump. Powermaster high torque starter. Includes engine build sheets.
Transmission: NP420 4spd with all new shafts gears bearings seal and top shift housing. Has a 1 3/8 input shaft and a new balanced 12" clutch, pressure plate and resurfaced flywheel.
Transfer case: NEW (4-2023) HERO 3spd, 32 spline in and 40 spline 1 3/4" diameter output shafts, 1to1 direct, 1.72 low mid gear, 3.75 low, 1410 input yoke. 1410 CV rear output, 1350 CV front output, (Has transferable 1 year warranty). New drive lines by High Angle Driveline.
Dana 80 rear: (from an F450 Ford) New 37 spline 1.67 dia. axles, New 488 gears, 1410 yoke, bearings, seals, ARB locker, disc brakes, and air bags.
Dana 70 front: (from a W300 Dodge) 488 gears 1410 flange yoke, with new bearings, seals, ARB locker, complete rebuilt knuckles, NOS spindles, disc brakes, 35 spline inner axles, 2 ton Warn locking hubs. Fox steering stabilizer.
Frame: Stock frame with reinforcements at winches for additional support, 3/8 plate sub frame at rear winch, all new custom 1/2" plate spring hangers, (boxed in at frame), widened transfer case cross member, added goose neck frame reinforcement, new heavy 1/4" plate engine and trans. mounts, 1/4" plate front and rear bumpers and brackets, all grade 8 bolts. frame and component's all powder coated.
Leaf Springs: New custom Alcan leaf springs 2 1/4 front, 2 1/2 rear.
Power Steering: New AGR Rock Ram P/S system and Steer Clear box.
Winches 10K: Front MU2, rear MU3, complete rebuild with all new bearings, seals, gaskets. New 7/16 steel cable 200ft per winch with canvass covers. Operate hydraulically by either Warn pendent or 150ft wireless control, both included.
Tires and Brakes: Front brakes 2-piston Ford 1-ton, 12" rotors, Rear single piston GM, 12" rotors. Corvette M/C and new S.S. lines. Mico rear brake lock. 7 new STA 900x16 8 ply tires, new tubes and flaps. 36.30 dia.
Custom Bumpers: 10" tall 1/4" plate bumpers and brackets with receiver hitches.
Custom Bed: 10ga. cold rolled steel bed walls, 14ga. post pockets, tubed wheel wells, new tail gate with 10ga. inside liner, 3-greaseable hinges, 1 1/2" thick oak floor boards covered with POR paint and Raptor lined, custom powder coated bed strips, 3/16 steel floor plates at a 2 5/16 goose neck ball and winch cover plates. Valance above winch is 3/16 bent plate. All cross members are new bent up 3/16 plate. Bed has a custom built 14ga. Chest tool box to match the running board pattern and holds a 16 gal hydraulic tank with room for tools etc. Inside bed, floor, tool box and tank all Raptor lined.
Running boards: 14ga. custom built wider and flared to dual fenders, Raptor lined, with 5 support each instead of 3.
Front fenders" Widened 2 3/4", Raptor lined, riveted and bolted to custom frame brackets.
Rear fenders: Custom rolled 14ga., Raptor lined, riveted and bolted to custom frame brackets.
Cab: This is a straight rust free cab, complete new wider cab floor (to accommodate the wider transfer case) and new custom wider 14ga. left and right floor pans. New cab mounts. Raptor lined inside cab, cab fire wall and under cab. Insulated doors, roof, fire wall and back of cab. 14ga. door panels and kick panels.
Fuel Tank: Custom 10ga. 33gal, new custom float sender, new S.S. fuel lines, summit electric fuel pump, tank raptor lined.
Dual gas cans: New military 5gal gas cans powder coated red with new pour spouts.
Outside sun visor. NOS 1952 Fitted to truck with new chrome. Allows windshield to be cranked open.
