And altering the half width lazy-z twist a bit also gives a different look to the border

Add a couple of the lazy-z edge strips behind the diamond for a  wider, more elaborate effect

Change the colours around a bit so things are symmetric, and you have an argyle pattern effect

'Eyelet' Rickrack strip with two Wavy strips (blue/red blades) wrapped around the outside edges for a  symmetrical border.  Used vertically, it could look like wishbones for Thanksgiving layouts

Eyelet strip with two Wavy (blue/red) strips woven in and out AND twisted around each other when they overlap (symmetrical)

Pretty basic , just eyelet strip and straight strips woven through

Eyelet strip with straight strip woven/wrapped through and around in a zigzag - straight strip is JUST BARELY long enough, and will not reach to the ends on the 'wrong' side

.75" square fits on large square-link strip perfectly - which means that the centre can be punched out of the squares
