This was the last light we saw as we were leaving Maine to drive to the airport in New Hampshire.
We only wish we could have taken better photos of this light since it was foggy. It is a WONDERFUL light! The light is known in Maine as one of two lights that are the most famous; Portland Head Light and this light. However, if you ask us we will tell you IT IS MUCH BETTER then PORTLAND HEAD LIGHT. The only thing Portland Head Light has is you can go in the Keepers' House there and see a museum. BUT THIS LIGHT IS MUCH MORE GRANDER since it sets up on a hill overlooking the water. What a site it is!
Dennis really loved this light. If we EVER go back to Maine we will make it our first stop!

(PS.... You might have seen photos of this light on postcards and in the media since it is one of the most famous lighthouses in the world to photograph. This is the lighthouse that is WELL KNOWN to be photographed with Christmas lights on it.
Every December and July they decorate it all around with CHRISTMAS LIGHTS as well.)
