Schlick Car show 2014
Again this Year, I made the trip from Richmond, VA to Bloomington IN, to attended Jim Schlick car Show (Pam's Fall Meet)
I left home Wed. 8th and drove to Lexington, KY where I stayed overnight and continued to Jim's Thursday morning.
I vent early, so I could help Jim get ready for the meet, as Jim don't get around to well, do to his Knee replacement.
Jims Brother and brother-in-law with their family's, also came to help out!

Saturday turned out to be a nice day for the meet. Jim had all of his Peugeot's on display along with 25 interesting car's
from the area. We all had a great time visiting and admiring all the Car's. At 1PM a great lunch was served, all kinds of delicious
food, Just a great day for looking at cars and car discussing.
I left for my return trip Sunday morning, Made the 696 mile (GPS) trip home in 11 hours! My 85 505 S 5 speed wagon ran great!!

A very interesting thing happened on the way home on the W.Virginia Turnpike, I was coming up to the tollbooth, with my $2.00
ready for the attendant, The lady informed me, that the car ahead of me had paid the toll for me!! Compliment from a former Peugeot owner!!
I hope someday in the future, I will be able to reciprocate!  Just a great weekend!!

Jim's 1967 404 coupe injection. According to the 404C-car registery compiled by a Peugeot enthusiast in B.C., Canada, this is the only 404 coupe known to be in the U.S. There are a few known to be in Canada and, of course, several in Europe.
This is my favorite Peugeot model!!
Drove it up and down the driveway a couple times, What a Automobile!!

Jim's two diesels: on the left a 1979 504 sedan and on the right a 1981 504 station wagon. The wagon has a turbo diesel, which is not standard in 504s and was installed before Jim purchased the wagon.

In the morning we placed the vehicles for display. Note Jim's '68 404 sedan, '67 404 coupe, and '01 206 XR hatchback. Stuck in the middle (perhaps a bit out of place) is a 1950 Allis Chalmers WD - a 'nostalgic' purchase for Jim as he grew up on an Iowa farm driving his father's Allis Chalmers WD and WD-45.

They are not really yawning - it just looks like it. These Peugeots stayed in the Peugeot Pole Barn, but with their bonnets closed. From the left: '68 204 cabriolet, '58 403 cabriolet, '66 403B sedan, and '66 404 cabriolet injection.

The '68 204 cabriolet with a couple of 'dueling banjo' skeletons ready for a Halloween party or maybe to ride in a scary parade. (They were a hit at the Harley Owners Group HOG-o-ween party the next Saturday evening.)

Jim's brother-in-law 'Herb' and his daughter Malory. They drove from Iowa with Herb's girlfriend Becky to help with the Fall Car Meet, which is held in Herb's sister Pam's memory.

Jim's brother Paul and sister-in-law Judy drove from Minneapolis to help with the fall car meet. All of the weekend guests were a great help.

Jim's 1994 Harley-Davidson FLHR/Road King. It has been a bit lonely lately - Jim hasn't been able to ride since last summer due to seemingly continuous rehab from an auto accident and knee replacement surgery. Can't wait 'til next summer!!

The Peugeots were set and ready for company. Steffen's grey 1985 505S station wagon is on the left of the photo. Jim's 405s are in the background. From left: 1991 405S sedan, 1992 405 sport wagon, and 1991 405 Mi16 sedan.

A side view of the Allis Chalmers WD. Jim's father upgraded from Allis Chalmers to 4-cylinder John Deere's about the time Jim left for college. Of course the late '60s John Deere's were much more comfortable to drive than the late '40s/early '50s Allis Chalmers.

There was plenty of time to discuss the automobiles and other topics of interest. (Jim seems to have copied his brother Paul and grown a beard this year. Now how are we going to tell them apart?!) Note Jim's 'outdoor wheelchair' (aka John Deere lawn tractor).

An original Mini (note the right-hand drive). Sorry, we don't know the year.
I believe it is a 1968.
Well, looking at the mirrors I would say  late 70ies even more likely 80ies (Reiner, Karlstadt Germany)

I guess this one snuck in near the end and didn't sign in. Sorry, but I don't know the year, make or model - and I'm afraid of being wrong if I guess. (Can anyone help? Thanks, Jim)

Unfortunately we didn't have much sunshine during the day (but that didn't keep us from standing and sitting around outside anyway!)

What have we here!?! Some of the motorcyclists seemed to be full of hot air! (Actually, it's just Jim's way of trying to get into the spirit of Halloween a bit early.)

Patrick and Herb no doubt discussing the finer points of old vinyl records. They share a keen interest vinyl records, which is also a business interest of Patrick's. Patrick owns Le Petit Cafe in Bloomington and is the only other Peugeot owner (we think) in Bloomington.

The Hoosier Hills Harley Owners Group (HOG) chapter organizes a ride to the Fall Car & Motorcycle Meet each year. There were only a few that made the ride this year, including these two Harleys. (The Triumph rider came separately.)
