 1 TAW Toa Airways Convair 240 The Convairs were the first “cabin class” airliners to enter Toa’s fleet. Ultimately, 6 Convairs were operated. Four were ex Continental aircraft acquired from Canadian Pacific. The first two were ex American. Card is my earliest Toa issue.
|  2 TAW Toa Airways YS-11 #2 A nice Toa issue, featuring JA 8641, delivered new to Toa in April 1965. It served for 25 years, ultimately operating in Japan Air System colors .
|  3 TAW Toa Airways YS-11 #3 KCF A nice take off view of JA 8672, delivered in 1968. It was sold to Mid Pacific in 1983, and finished its service in Mexico withAerosierra de Durango. Card is a Nihon issue, kindly shared by Kuo-Ching Fu
|  4 TAW Toa Airways YS-11 #1 A somewhat later Toa issue, featuring JA 8686, delivered in 1968. It, too, went to Mid Pacific in November of 1982

 5 North Japan DC-3 This North Japan DC-3 retained the livery of Hawaiian, it’s original operator.. it was acquired in December of 1959, and served with North Japan,(later Japan Domestic) until May of 1965. Card is an IAWP historical issue.
|  6 North Japan 240 #1w A splendid North Japan issue from my want list, featuring JA5088. Originally a Western Airlines airliner delivered in December 1948, it arrived at North Japan in 1961. It served with North Japan and Japan Domestic until May of 1965, when damaged in a landing accident at Obihiro

|  11 Fuji Convair 240 #1w Fuji received JA5112 from American Airlines in 1962. It continued with Japan Domestic after the merger until February of 1968. Card is a Fuji issue from my want list.

 13 Japan Domestic Convair 240 #1 KCF Japan Domestic ultimately operated 9 Convair 240s. The Convairs operated from 1964, with the last retired in 1968. This rare Hakodate Airport issue, was kindly shared by Kuo-Ching Fu.
|  14 Japan Domestic Convair 880 #1 This stunning Japan Domestic issue shows their Convair 880, JA8030 at take off. It operated only a little over a year before crashing in a training accident in August of 1966.
|  15 Japan Domestic Convair 880 #3HJ The JDA 880 had originally been delivered to Swissair in August of 1961, and was returned to Convair upon arrival of Swissair's 990s. This beautiful New Year issue was shared by the Late Hubert Jansen

 17 Japan Domestic Nord 262 In 1965, Japan Domestic became one of the first operators of the new Nord 262 aircraft. This JDA issue shows the 262 in flight over Osaka.
|  18 Japan Domestic Nord 262 #2 KCF A similar JDA issue, shared by Kuo-Ching Fu shows the Nord 262 in flight over the Takeda Pharmaceutical Co Hikari Plant. The airline operated 3 Nord 262s from 1965- 1969.
|  19 Japan Domestic 727-100 #1a KCF This nice postcard view of JA8314 was built for Japan Domestic in 1966, but sold to Japan Airlines shortly after the merger. It returned to TDA in 1972, but was sold to Hapag Lloyd in 1975.
|  20 Japan Domestic YS-11 #2 An outstanding in flight postcard view of a Japan Domestic YS-11. Ultimately, the airline operated 19 aircraft, starting with the first production model (cn 2002) in 1965.

 21 Japan Domestic YS-11 #1 An excellent Japan Domestic issue, featuring JA 8640, their 2nd YS-11, received in May of 1965. It continued to serve with Toa Domestic and Japan Air System until March of 1990!
|  22 TDA 727-100 The 1971 merger of Japan Domestic and Toa created Toa Domestic (TDA). As the scope of operations expanded, 4 Japan Airlines 727s were added to the fleet in 1972. This outstanding TDA issue features one of those. The 727s were gone by 1976.
|  23 TDA DC-9-30 #1 For most TDA services, the DC-9 was a more practical aircraft. In late 1973, TDA leased 2 ex AirWest DC-9-30 airliners. These operated only until early 1975, but are represented on this and the following 2 TDA issues
|  24 TDA DC-9-30 #2 This is a splendid TDA issue, featuring N9333, delivered new to AirWest in 1968
|
 25 TDA DC-9-30 #3 Another outstanding TDA issue of N-9333 in flight. The 2 30 models were returned to Hughes Airwest by early 1975
|  26 TDA YS-11 #1 The YS-11 continued to play a major role with TDA. This excellent TDA issue features JA8666, which was delivered new to Toa in September 1966. It ultimately went to Mid Pacific in 1982.
|  27 TDA DC-9-40 #1 In March of 1974, TDA began taking delivery of a fleet of DC-9-40s, which were somewhat tailored to TDA's operations. This is the less common of two great postcard views of their 40.

 29 TDA DC-9-40 #2 A later issue of TDA's DC-9-41 JA8426, delivered in may of 1974. It served until sold to Finnair in 1982
|  30 TDA DC-9-40 DC-9-40 #3w A similar, but less common TDA issue features JA 8424, their 2nd DC-9-40, which also went to Finnair in 1981, but finished its career with Spirit in the US in 2003.
|  31 TDA DC-9-40 #4 KCF An outstanding later Publisher issue, shared by Kuo-Ching Fu, of DC-9-41, JA 8441, delivered to TDA in March of 1978. It served for 18 years, and ultimately became a freighter for Airborne Express.
|  32 TDA DC-9-40 Flight Deck KCF Also shared by Kuo-Ching Fu is this TDA issue, featuring the flight deck of the DC-9-40.

 33 TDA MD-80 #1KCF By 1981, TDA began adding the new MD-81s to their fleet. The first 8 operated for 17 years, before sale to Midwest Express. The last 4 stayed with Japan Airlines until sold for parts to Allegiant in 2010. Card is an unidentified publisher issue, shared by Kuo-Ching Fu.
|  34 TDA A-300 #1 By 1980, the continued growth of TDA dictated larger aircraft. The A-300 B2K was ideal for the higher density routes, and TDA took delivery of 10 A-300s from 1980-1986. Card is a TDA issue.
