One wouldn’t imagine by the postcard population that Indian was a significant Caravelle operator. However Indian received 9 new Caravelle VI Ns between 1963 and 1967, plus three additional VI Ns to replace crashed aircraft. The Caravelles operated until the latter 1970s, and other than a couple for Pushpaka, the fleet was essentially scrapped.
This rare Indian issue is consistent with some of their other early cards in the rather inaccurate portrayal of the aircraft shown.
