 1 Orient Convair 240 Orient Airways, established in Delhi in 1947 became a Pakistani airline in 1955, based in Karachi, and ultimately becoming Pakistan International Airways. The airline operated the key link from west to East Pakistan (karachi-Dacca) in the mid 1950s. N90836, shown on this Classic Airliner Cards issue, crashed on a flight to Dacca in 1953
|  2 Pakistan International DC-3 An excellent PIA Issue of AP-AAH, which was originally an Orient Airlines DC-3. It served Pakistan International until crashing in March of 1965
|  3 Pakistan International L-1049C Constellation #1 As the nation of Pakistan began to develop, the need for longer range aircraft was filled by the Super Constellation, shown on this outstanding Jaeger issue. The early routes were to Dacca, in the east, and London to the west
|  4 Pakistan International L-1049C Constellation #2GS This extraordinary PIA issue, shared by Greg Smith, features AP-AFQ, PIA's first Super Constellation, delivered in February of 1954. It operated for 10 years.

 5 Pakistan International L-1049H Constellation #1 The year 1958 saw the arrival of 2 Lockheed L-1049H Constellations, which served until 1969. Card is a PIA issue.
|  6 Pakistan International Viscount 800 #1 In 1959, PIA acquired 5 new Viscount 815s. Shown on this PIA issue is AP-AJF, delivered in July of that year. It served PIA for 8 years before sale to British Midland. In later years it flew for Nigeria, Intra Airways, Jersey European, British Air Ferries, and Baltic Aviation. WFU in 1990.

 9 Pakistan International 707-320 #1w This exquisitely rare PIA issue, from my want list, features Pakistan International's 707-321 leased from Pan Am in 1960 to initiate jet service prior to receipt of their first 720Bs.
|  10 Pakistan International F-27 #7 KCF This Spanjersberg issue, shared by Kuo-Ching Fu, shows PH FCB, PIA’s first F-27, still wearing its delivery registration. It became AP-ALM in operation for PIA.
|  11 Pakistan International F-27 #1 The F-27 played a big role for PIA, with nearly 30 operated through the years. The first arrived in 1961, and was featured on this PIA B&W issue
|  12 Pakistan International F-27 #2 The first of the color F-27 cards featured AP ALM, Delivered to PIA in January, 1961. It served 9 years before lost in a crash at Islamabad in August 1970.

 17 Pakistan International S-61 #1KCF In 1961 P I A began an imaginative air service in East Pakistan, using S-61 helicopters. Shown on this rare PIA issue, shared by Kuo-Ching Fu, is N652X, which became AP AOA. Ultimately, 2 fatal accidents put and end to the services.
|  18 Pakistan International 720B #1 By the end of 1961, PIA received their first 720-040B. This card, one of a B&W set was the first 720B card I received.
|  19 Pakistan International 720B #5 Ultimately, PIA operated 12 720Bs, a number of which were acquired from Western. I believe this was the earliest color card of the 720B

 25 Pakistan International Trident 1E A valued card for almost any collector was the PIA issued Trident 1E. The first, AP-ATK, was delivered in January of 1966.

|  27 Pakistan International DC-10-30 #1 In 1974, Pakistan International added 3 new DC-10-30 airliners to the international fleet. This is the first card I received, featuring AP AXE at take off. It operated a little over 6 years before a crash at Karachi.
|  28 Pakistan International DC-10-30 #2 A somewhat earlier issue, also featuring the DC-10 at take off. My favorite of the three.

 29 Pakistan International DC-10-30 #3 The latest of 3 PIA issued DC-10 cards. A 4th new DC-10 had been added, as well as one from Alitalia.
|  30 Pakistan International 747-200 #1 The first 747-200 model arrived at PIA in 1976, as the airline acquired 2 from TAP of Portugal. Two new 240Bs were delivered in 1979 and 1980.
|  31 Pakistan International 747-200 #2 Additional 200 models were acquired from CP Air which ultimately brought the 200 fleet to 8. This is a somewhat later PIA issue.
|  32 Pakistan International 747-200 #3 This final 747-200 view is an Editions PI issue, taken at Paris.

|  34 Pakistan International A-300 PIA ordered 4 new A-300 B4s which were delivered in late 1979 and 1980. Shown on this Avimage issue is AP BAY, the 2nd A-300 delivered. In later years ten additional A-300s were acquired from various sources.
|  35 Pakistan International 737-300 #1 This is a splendid view of AP BCE, one of 6 737-340s delivered in 1985 and 1986. It operated for PIA until 2013, and was ultimately broken up at Karachi. Card is an Air Pictorials issue.

 37 Pakistan International 737-300 #3 KCF This uncommon PIA issue, shared by Kuo-Ching Fu, shows a PIA 737-300 over some of the incredible mountainous terrain of Pakistan.
|  38 Pakistan International A-310 #1 Between 1991 and 1994 PIA added 6 new A-310-308s to their Airbus fleet. Shown on this very nice PIA issue is AP BDZ, the first 310 delivered.
|  39 Pakistan International A-310 #3 KCF. This splendid but unidentified post card view of AP BDZ in flight was shared by Kuo-Ching Fu
|  40 Pakistan International A-310 #2 MDS This excellent PIA issue, shared by Mario DaSilva also shows AP BDZ in flight. The 310s were in service for 25 years. Most were retired from 2012-2016, but three remain active.

 41 Pakistan International 777-200 #1 Today, PIA's long haul operations are handled by 777s, the first of which was delivered in January of 2004. This interesting PIA issue shows the 3rd, AP-BGL.

|  47 Pakistan International L-100w An interesting postcard view of AP-AUU, an L-100 acquired by PIA in May of 1966, but operated exclusively by the Pakistan Air Force. It was lost due to structural failure in severe turbulence in April 1968.
|  48 Pakistan Air Force Trident #1E KCF Actually, the 4th Trident, delivered to PIA, AP AUG went directly to the Pakistan Air Force, and, 3 years later, to the Chinese Air Force. It ultimately served a civilian role with China United Airlines, and is preserved in the China Civil Aviation Museum.

|  51 Bangladesh Biman F-27 #1 With the establishment of an independent Bangladesh, Biman was created in 1972. First international air service was conducted from Dhaka to Calcutta in April with an F-27 aircraft. Shown on this early Biman issue is F-27 S2-ABH, delivered In September of that year. It served until August of 1990, and ultimately went to WDL Aviation in Germany.
|  52 Bangladesh Biman 707-320C In the mid to late 1970s Boeing 707s were acquired from various sources for longer international flights. In 1980, S2-ACF, shown on this Biman issue, was acquired from Cathay Pacific. It operated until sale to Faucett in 1989.

 53 Bangladesh Biman F-28-4000 #2 By late 1981 2 new F-28-4000s were added to the Biman fleet. Shown on this early Biman issue is the first, S2-ACH, delivered on July 15.
|  54 Bangladesh Biman F-28-4000 This outstanding Skyliner issue provides a much better view of the airliner. Both were written off and replaced with leased aircraft in the late 1990s.
|  55 Bangladesh Biman DC-10-30 #1 In 1983, Biman introduced 3 DC-10-30s, acquired from Singapore Airlines. One of those, S2 ACO, is shown on this World Collector cards issue.
|  56 Bangladesh Biman DC-10-30 #2 Five additional DC-10s were added through the following years, including a single new DC-10-30, S2-ACR, delivered in 1988. This nice oversized card was the first Biman issue of the aircraft.

|  58 Bangladesh Biman DC-10-30 #3 KCF This special card honors the last DC-10 operation, after 43 years of successful operations. I believe the last flights were conducted by S2-ACR in February 2014

|  62 Bangladesh Biman Fleet #1w After nearly 50 years of service Biman has become a significant International airline, operating a modern fleet of 787, 777, and 737-800 equipment. This outstanding fleet card is at the top of my want list.

|  64 Aero Asia 737-200 #1 KCF In 1993, with the deregulation of the airlines, Aero Asia was formed in Pakistan by the Tabani Group of companies. Much of the initial staffing was by former PIA employees, and early aircraft were RomBac 111s leased from Tarom. The airline grew through the 90s and in the early 2000s was operating 4 737-200s, as shown on this Aero Asia issued holiday card, shared by Kuo-Ching Fu. Financial issues and perhaps some political conflict shut the airline down in 2007

 65 Bhoja Air 737-200 Bhoja Air was also launched in 1993, operating primarily domestic services, and flights to the united Arab Emirates. Although it was shut down in 2000 due to financial cosiderations, it re-started operations in 2011. Unfortunately, a tragic crash at Islamabad in 2012 brought an end to the airline. This uncommon Bhoja issue features AP-BEP, originally built for Air Europe in 1980.
|  66 Shaheen Air A-320 #1 Shaheen Air, also launched with the deregulation of Pakistan Aviation in 1993, grew to substantial size, operating for 34 years. Originally a 737 operator, Shaheen acquired a fleet of A-320s in 2013. The card is a page from a 2013 calendar.
|  67 Shaheen 737-400 #1 Prior to the Airbus acquisition, a substantial fleet of ex Malaysia 737-400s was acquired. This Shaheen Calendar Card from 2013 provides a nice view.
