Pet Registries
Buyers Beware Of Pet Registries
Money Makers or The Real Deal
The suggestion is you avoid all pet registries no matter the breed your looking for. You can read more advise in the links below from people who themselves have been defrauded by such registries.
Many Pet Registries have been started by puppy mills trying to make themselve look more legitimate. It takes nothing more than a data base, a computer and a wed site to make claims of being a dog/canine/pet registry. They not only get the money from a puppy sale but they also get your money to register that very dog with their VERY OWN registry. More often than not you will aloso have to sign a contract telling you that you have to register and pay for that registry from them. Ask your self why do they need to invent a registry? Could it be that those dogs do not meet breed type and do they not met breed type because they are in fact possibly hybrid or crossbred? Not pure bred at all. Yet, you will being paying purebred prices. Doesn't that send up a HUGE red flag to you?

If the breed is a recognized CKC (Canadian), AKC and/or UKC breed but the breeder is not registering his/her dogs with one of these registries, be very cautious and find out why. There are several reasons why a breeder would choose one of these other registries, but the vast majority of reasons are not good. It could be that the breeder has been suspended from the AKC, CKC, or UKC; or that the breeder refuses to abide by the registries codes of ethics; or one of many other reasons. Sorce HERE
