MCSF GOLF TOURNAMENT - 2008
The 22nd annual Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation golf tournament took place at Camp Pendleton, CA, on September 8, 2008.
As usual, the fund raising objectives were exceeded, with attendees and guests participating generously in purchase of raffle tickets and bidding in the silent and live auctions during the awards dinner at the San Luis Rey Officer's Club.
Colonel Bob Tilley, USMC (ret) and his wife, Rene, along with a large group of dedicated volunteers, repeated last years success with another banner year of raising funds for the foundation.
The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to deserving sons and daughters of current or former United States Marines in their pursuit of higher education, and also provides a limited number of scholarships to children of Navy Corpsmen who serve or have served with Marines.
All the images in this album are the work of two volunteers, whose excellent photographs are very much appreciated. Kelly Lucas did the foursome shots on the 1st tee, and Richard Power shot the remainder.
