For the first time in over 15 years all my brothers and our sister met in Dallas for a very enjoyable reunion. This album posted so all the family can view the images, but others are welcome to visit if interested.
My sister, Lee. I have called her Babe all my life. Her home in Dallas has always had the welcome mat out for me.
Babe with her grandchildren, Rachel & Clayton. That makes them my great niece & nephew.
Babe with my brother Kay's daughter, Sunday (my niece)
Clayton, now in college, always has opinions and views to pass along.
Babe's husband, Earl, is a highly decorated WWII veteran, where he flew 50 combat missions as a tail gunner in the Pacific.
Before leaving Texas we visited the new home of our friends Bob & Liz. They had just moved in to their "dream home" near Tyler.
Front view of home of Bob & Liz indicates plenty of room to get away from it all.
Bob & Liz show off bright and cheerful kitchen area.
The living room looks Texas style without any hint of having to "rough it."
The loft area.
BB, Liz & Bob.
Liz shows off a modern stove with an old classic look.
Family group includes Jackie, Rachel, Babe & Clayton.
My niece, Lynn (pink shirt) hosts the family for cocktails on her townhouse veranda.
Lynn's veranda is truly Texas size, and cool with tile floor and overhanging roof.
Initial gathering at Kay's house, BB, Babe, Wayne & Kay.
A day later and still no fighting while we visit my sister's house.
Babe's babes, my nephew and niece Gary & Lynn.
Gary with my brother, Wayne.
Wayne's wife, Jackie, with Lynn and Kay's wife, Terry.
Kay inherited our father's handsome head of hair. I inherited the dome tops of all my mother's brothers.
I could hardly resist pushing Kay into his own pool, but I was afraid he would serve me a tough steak for dinner later.
Kay, just before putting about 10 pounds of choice rib eyes on the grill.
Kay and Terry (she is a superb gardner), in front of their home in Dallas.
Street view of Kay and Terry's home.
Kay seems to have some doubts about Wayne's comments. We could have done without the leg show.
Lea wanted to record the huge elephant ear leaves in Terry's yard.
Lynn's veranda party included a bottomless supply of Texas size Margaritas on a balmy evening.
It is suspected that Lea and Lynn are sharing some joke about me.
Lea, Terry and Babe relax after dinner on Kay & Terry's patio.
We looked at this home site at White Wing Golf Club in the Texas hill country, but promise of many hot summer days out weighed the bargain prices of Texas housing.
Lynn.
This shot reminded me of the old Budweiser ad about "skunky beer."
Kay and Terry's grandson, Patrick Gabriel, doesn't suffer from lack of attention.
Patrick has a ready smile.
Patrick, with father James on right.
Wayne (he also has more hair than me), knows how to get friendly with Patrick.
Patrick expresses his appreciation for Uncle Wayne's attention.
Rachel uses cell phone to juggle heavy social schedule. Clayton may be getting bored with the whole reunion gig.
Patrick's mother, Sunday, offers comfort when energy levels are running on low.
Terry and grandson.
Shortly after the mosquito spray bottle appeared we called an end to the veranda party.
Wayne has advise for Lynn, she offers polite attention, but Terry can't register any enthusiasm.
One of our last views of Texas, a rest stop on I-10 east of El Paso.
