The standard "Twilight" photo!
"Twilight" isn't large on elaborate costuming--it's mostly contemporary clothing--but this outfit worn by the character Victoria is one of the more recognizable costumes from the film, and I decided to throw one together for the movie premiere I attended.
My "thrown-together" Victoria. Not perfect, but recognizable.
My ticket stub from the premiere (yep, I saved it--I am SUCH a geek...). The group of friends I went to the premiere with had actually gotten quite a few pictures from the event, but sadly most of them were lost.
For the DVD premiere (and future events) I wanted to put together a more accurate Victoria costume, and realized I could make the shirt myself. I started with a green T-shirt bought at an after-St.-Patrick's-Day sale for $2.50 at Target.
I whipped up the words/shamrock in PhotoShop and printed them onto T-shirt transfer paper.
I then turned the T-shirt inside out, cut off the collar, and ironed on the transfer. Again, not completely accurate (the words are supposed to curve around the shamrock as opposed to being straight across), but this was a quick test-run, and I figured if it worked I could do another, more accurate shirt later on.
The finished shirt.
And the complete costume at the DVD release party at Border's in Athens, Georgia! This is a different wig than I had the first time, and is extremely over-the-top and uncomfortable, but I had to at least get one photo before I bailed on it!
My friend Fin who went with me to the party--it's hard to tell in this photo, but she's got contacts in that turn her eyes the perfect yellow for the vegetarian vampire.
At our second Border's of the night!
The crowd inside the Border's, waiting for the witching hour to purchase their DVD's. Fin and I were really surprised that absolutely no one else had dressed up, although I was glad that two other ladies recognized and commented on my Victoria costume.
Fin with her purchase ticket!
Fin and I at the display
Midnight tolls, and the line forms up
And Fin gets her copy of the movie!
Afterwards we stopped by Wal-Mart for snacks, and in honor of Bella Fin settled on ravioli.
Our last photo of the evening at the Wal-Mart produce aisle. Had to do it!
