4 Temporary Grid Tent This photo of Cheyenne shows the temporary tent I made for the pigs to get under until I can find them a good house. I used two cube grids connected at right angles with the grid connectors, and covered it with a rug. 7 Ramp to Upper Deck This is a good shot of the ramp wtih Silky and Charlotte sharing a piece of lettuce. I made the ramp from a piece of wood, covered it with coroplast to protect the wood from urine (better than "bareback"), and put a piece of red carpet for the pigs for traction. 10 Hay Rack - With Hay I usually fill it much fuller than this to start, but we were at the bottom of the bag and I had to go buy more hay that day. 12 Grid - Overlapped and Secured I had to do some overlap to make my grid cage fit the space I was limited to. I used both duct tape in the color of my cube grids, AND zip ties to be extra secure. 13 Cozy I call it Silky's Sleeping bag... it is a homemade cavy cozy. Charlotte is as snug as a bug in a rug in there. 18 Pumpkin Toy In the same downstairs cage with Simon but seperated by a divider lives Sidney. He likes quieter bells so he was given this little Halloween bell on a ribbon. 19 Soap Dishes My odd use of soap dishes as pellet bowls. I have four of these so far. Two in the three pig cage, and one each in the single pig cage. I got them at thrift stores ranging in price from 40 cents to 1$. So far only this type will work. It has smooth edges, but all edges the pigs could reach have been blocked so they cannot gain access to chew on them. 28 Door Frame Base The base of the doorframe is built from a 2 x 4 But there is a plastic cover cut from a piece of siding, for this is what holds in the glass window. So I was only going to use this if I had to as a back for the upper half of the downstairs cage.
