We stopped for lunch near the junction with the Crest trail.  While we were there we saw four more bears high on Plummer Mtn. Our break spot is located Here.  The old cabin shown in the following photos is just north of this spot and can be seen in Google Earth 2016 view (check historical imagery in "View" menu).
