Another view - It's hard to believe but the gas was cheaper here than in Lynnwood, which is saying something since Hanksville is about as far as you can get off the beaten path.  We passed through here in 1965 on our way to California, when we had to replace one of our "retread" tires on our "new" Chevy II.  The cost was $55 which would be over 400 in today's dollars.
