Five and Dime Style, Round Four
The Final Challenge Round of Five and Dime Style has been the exploration of over the top pieces in the 50's-60's vintage vibe style, combined with 21st century mixed media and placement techniques.  FIVE AND DIME STYLE HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN:  Thanks to all who participated in the challenges.   You took me back to a place and time that was very sweet, and you helped me find what was in my heart all along.  Five and Dime Style *is* B'sue Style.  Once it gets in your heart, you can't stop creating.  It's happy, lighthearted and fun.  It's for the beginner as well as the advanced designer.  It can be  simple and easy-going, or effusive, gaudy, riotous. It's nostalgia, it's creatively compelling....it is JOY.  Copyright 2011 Brenda Sue Lansdowne.  Find the website:  B'sue Boutiques http://www.bsueboutiques.com  Find the YouTube videos:  http://www.youtube.com/user/bsueboutiques

I do not even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was great. I don't know who you are but definitely you're going to a famous blogger if you aren't already ;) Cheers!

While it looks massive it weighs in at 3 ounces and the sound of all the charms in different thickness and metals adds a wonderful sound when it is worn. www.oscarcrow.etsy.com

B'sue's first entry is quite long and assymetrical, meaning the charms go higher on one side.  Everyone went nuts over those silly flying pigs!  Don't worry....I'm hunting some down!  LOL   Here is the blog post about it: http://bsueboutiques.typepad.com/bsue_boutiques_jewelry_su/2011/07/shots-of-ms-trashy-flashyand-the-need-for-a-mannequin.html

B'sue's second entry reprises alot of the 'conglomeration-style' jewelry seen on the trip to NYC at the end of May.  Starting with a length of heavy, pure copper chain, layered Old Rose Ox petals were wired to the chain.   Filigree dangles below along with random snippets of fine pure copper chain.  The neckline is gypsy-beaded and adjusts.
