Frame blank, doubled. Yellow satin wood.

Frames temporarily attached to templates by station number. Threaded rod through templates allows shaping of outer surface of frames.

Inside of frames trimmed prior to final shaping

My dad sailed on this ship with Sterling Hayden in the late 50's. I have a whole slide tray full of beautiful pictures from those trips!
