Cathy, I LOVE your jewels. Can you tell me more about the mechanical bulldog??? He is fabulous. - Deb, Fri, 10 Mar 2006 10:11AM
Two Deco-looking birds by CoroCraft. Each bird's head trembles. Top bird is rose gold over sterling with enamel in shades of red, rust and brown. Bottom is yellow gold over sterling in shades of blue.
Owned by Sheila Pamfiloff, this Hattie Carnegie trembler necklace is absolutely stunning. Each flower is mounted on a spring.
Close-up of the necklace.
Pave orchid with channel cut ruby rhinestones and rhodium back. Center portion trembles. Unsigned, though has been attributed to Trifari.
Snow penguin by Bettina von Walhoff. His cane is a trembler.
Gorgeous Bettina von Walhoff parrot with a trembler wing.
Mechanical Boucher Punchinello whose arms and legs go up and down when the chain is pulled. Boucher did a series of mechanical pieces, including a Cambodian (arms and legs go up and down), a pelican (mouth opens and there is a fish), and a jester whose head moves back and forth (see next picture).
Boucher jester with head that moves left and right, now owned by Nancy G.
BIG bulldog--tongue moves back and forth.
Charlie McCarthy fur clip--mouth opens and closes by pushing on a small lever. This picture is from trifari.com, though I have this clip--mine just isn't in the best of condition....
