Blue Birds of Paradise by Linda LEE
You've probably heard about the Blue Bird of Happiness, but do you know about the Blue Birds of Paradise?  These beautiful blue birds, along with silk flowers and ivy, a picket fence, and bird houses, adorn the top of this wonderful habitat.  There are many photos that show you how to create a similar 2 x 6 grid Paradise for your own guinea pigs.  The photos include ones that show how to divide a cage when new guinea pigs are being introduced to one another.  Also, included are photos of The Nest, an upper-level area for getting a closer view of the Blue Birds of Paradise.

Information on making a "Cubes and Coroplast" cage may be found at: www.cavycages.com

2 x 6 white-grid cage; decorations include blue silk flowers, a few purple flowers, wooden bird houses that came unfinished and I painted shades of blue w/white.

Along the back and corner of cage top are little picket fences that I painted white and attached with cable ties and twist ties.  Also green silk ivy is tied along back for more color.  I also found a cute bird nest and put a feathery bird in middle.

Here is a close-up of picket fence,  birdhouse and adorable bird nest I picked up at craft store.

Close-up of wall border glued on corrugated plastic.  I picked a pretty artist design with gazebo, bridge, trees, and gardens.

Hay time!  I put hay on both sides of divider so Ishta can feel part of the group.
