Queenie and Lil' Kim They are a bonded pair of lovely guinea pigs. They are sweet and very calm. They received the first dose of Ivermectin and Revolution yesterday and they had a bath, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and chlorohexiadine foot cleaning since they came to me, which is yesterday. ~ Yuko Due to Yuko's concerns about Queenie's potential medical issues, GPF offered to help Yuko if needed ... either to foster and treat her or take her in as a sanctuary pig. Former cage: a converted rabbit hutch Overview of wooden house and cage 3-21-08: at Yuko's (this and the next 4 photos by Yuko) Queenie: 4-1/2 years old? Treated with Ivermectin and Revolution (not on same day) Lil' Kim: 4-1/2 years old? Kim buried in a pile of bluegrass hay from Kleenmama's Hayloft 3-23-08: at Kathy's Queenie: head tilt, crusty nipples (ovarian cyst?), rough foot pads, spurs, odd nails, bony Very tired after ride Both pigs are very sweet natured Queenie and Lil' Kim Lil' Kim: bony and also has rough pads on feet Queenie has a strange way of lying down: she sticks her left rear leg out  (internal problem such as a cyst or arthritis) Both Queenie and Lil' Kim are going to be vet checked ASAP (call is in to the vet) When Queenie lies down her rear left leg sticks out Queenie was very tired and started to go to sleep after the were weighed in and checked briefly 4-6-08: Kim and Queenie in one of the new cuddle cups that they received from Marsha Check out Marsha's website at http://www.cozycavy.com Here they are on a pad that Marsha made; The Cozy Cavy products are extremely well made and the guinea pigs love them! Yuko donated 45 pounds of Kleenmama's Hayloft bluegrass hay. As you can see in an earlier photo below, they love it!
