Outdoor Hutch: Rescued Guinea Pigs
Guinea Pig Fun was contacted about two guinea pigs who were living outdoors in unacceptable housing. After they were rescued and an intake was done it appears that they are both healthy and that there are no broken legs or toenails or problems with bumble foot even though they were housed on a wire floor. They will be given another dose or two of Ivermectin and watched for any signs of possible illness since a third guinea pig died one to two weeks ago. The three guinea pigs were obtained from someone six months ago as a Christmas present for children who quickly tired of them. The family didn't "have much time for them any more".
