Wine labels
Fruit press. Mahogany from stair rail parts.
Lowquat fruit. Pic used for Wine label.
Scratter mill for shredding stoneless fruit, like apples or pears,
Fermentation vessel
Final pic of 25 gallon conical fermenter, in use, with 12 gallons of Lowquat wine, plus CO2 purge.
Total cost ZERO, I had all the parts in my "junk yard".
Lucky for me that the section of stainless duct that a friend gave me had flanges on each end- one as a base, and the other to clamp the top on to.
I had to hand form the cone, and tig weld it to the section of duct. 14 1/5 inch diameter. cone is also 14 1/2" tall, which makes it 60° Holds 3.5 gallons.
I did sand blast the inner side of the welds, plus a wash down with a 8° citric acid solution to 'normalize' the stainless.
3/8" thick aluminum top with mini C-clamps to hold pressure, plus a synthetic blue gasket. Woodworking router used to make the corny-style access, with an o-ring seat cut into each part with an ogee bit.
Conical fermenter on wooden base cabinet.
Conical fermenter in kitchen. Last addition was the sight gauge.
