Star Wars Celebration 4 (May 24-29, 2007)Wow, BEST Celebration EVER! What a way to spend our 1 year wedding anniversary (and thanks to those wished us a happy one
while there).
Wednesday - Arrive in LA and pick up our badges. A group of us hit up Pink's Hotdogs for dinner.
Thursday - We got in line at 8:30 and met some great people while in line. I walked up and down it a few times because I was bored. It was fun waiting in line talking to people, as well as walking up and down and meeting people who knew me from online :-D Will and I ran inside and grabbed our exclusive Boba Fett Statue, walked around the con and were interviewed fro various media around the world (including Sirius Radio and G4) lol.
Friday - I went casual in my Coruscant nightgown (Padme) to assist my friend Anu in her Naboo Robe and Nightgown. Anu did such a fantastic job on her costume, it was hard to compete with all the other glorious gowns though :-) Congrats to my friends who won!
Saturday - I changed costumes 4 times! I started the day as ANH Leia for the photoshoot in the morning, changed to Snowbunny for casual walking around, changed into normal clothes for a Sushi dinner with Friends, cahnged into Imperial Officer for the 501st shoot, and then into a skirted Officer for walking around. Talk about a day!
Sunday - The big day! A year ago it was my wedding day with a dress I slaved over for about a year. This year it was a costume contest with a dress I slaved on for over a year. Even though someone else had my dress, I got there early to be first :-) Her's was lovely too though. Even though I didn't win, I was quite happy that a few of my friends did! I stuck around after to grab photos with them and other friends - it was a TON of fun! At C5 I'm going all out and winning - not saying what it's going to be though ;-)
Monday - ahhh relaxation... sort of. I wore my picnic dress and just casually threw my hair into a pony. We saw SW in 30 minutes - FUNNY! Afterwards we walked around a bit, said our goodbyes, and headed back to the hotel. We had dinner with TFN'ers and poor Anu had a wee bit too much to drink so we skipped Spat(less) Con 3.
