1 "Sonny" is a happy, alert, social little pomeranian mix found in our neighborhood 3/31/08. We located the owners and returned him, but they let him get out several more times over the next couple of weeks, unneutered, with no collar or ID. So it didn't seem prudent to keep returning him to a home where he wasn't kept safe.
2 He's about 4 years old and about 10 lbs. He is perky and good with the other dogs here.... no problems meeting them at all.
3 The former family who kept letting him get loose and never searched for him at least did keep him very clean and well groomed.
4 He is so happy, friendly, and a great house dog!
5 He is still good natured, but seems nervous and unsure of himself, which is a big contrast to his previously confident attitude.
6 We have gotten him vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative!), and wormed. We started him on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative. He is now on a high quality dog food with Essential Fatty Acids supplements. And he got a few baths with antimicrobial/antifungal shampoo, so he now seems to be feeling a little better.
