Snickerdoodle is an adorable boy who is looking for a happy household to snuggle himself into. He is one sweet fellow, described by everyone who has met him as a really terrific dog.

He is a true cuddle bug, and friendly to the max.

He is about 14 months old, stands almost 14" tall, and weighs 12 lbs.

He does, however, have an old injury that healed wonderfully strong but completely wrong, leaving his left leg about 2" shorter than his right. He often limps, and when he stands his left leg doesn't touch the ground unless he is bending his right rear knee quite a bit.

But he does indeed walk on the left leg and it does not cause him any pain. He can squat, jump, scratch, lift to pee, and do about anything else a dog might want to do with a rear leg.

And he can run! FAST! And he does so frequently. Click on the picture to see a video of this Doodlebug running, and you'll never call him "lame."

We think that after his injury, which left him with a shattered femur and dislocated ilium, his  owners didn't want to pay to fix it, so they abandonned him and his body had to heal on its own. The vets say his leg is now stable and it truly doesn't bother him, so they don't recommend surgery. Basically, diagnosis is "Don't Worry. Be Happy."

And he is! Doodle gets along tremendously with all the other dogs. He is friendly, playful, and engaging with them.

Even more than the dogs, though, he LOVES people. He'll jump into your lap the moment you'll let him. And he'll let you carry him around like a baby.

He is usually quiet in the house, but when he does bark he is pretty loud. Although he likes attention, he is not a pest about it, and he is pretty unobtrusive. He is housetrained and is learning to use a doggie door. He walks pretty well on a leash and loves to ride in the car.

This adorable boy has immense charisma. For a loving family who can overlook his leg "shortcoming," he will be a truly awesome dog.
