1 Here is Ruby Tuesday, a funny little Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix.
2 She is about 7-8 years old.
3 She stands about 11-1/2" tall and currently (as of 7/23/08) weighs 14.8 lbs.
4 Ruby is a gentle, easy-going companion who gets along great with all people, including young kids.
5 Ruby came to rescue 2/1/08 and at the time weighed an obese 23.5 lbs!! It was clear that she was used to being fed human junk food... and LOTS of it.
6 (2/1/08) Little did she know it, but this pudgy teddy bear was about to undergo a transformation!
7 (2/1/08) Under a vet's care, she was put on a strict diet and exercise regimen. So in the next pictures, watch her "journey" to slimness, as she has lost 1/3 of her body weight!
8 (2/8/07) In the beginning, even a slow 1/4 mile walk tired her out. She huffed and puffed going up a flight of stairs. And she couldn't jump into the car without a boost.
9 (2/11/08) UPDATE: Ruby is down to 22.8 lbs. and walks 1/2 mile per day.
10 (3/3/08) UPDATE: Ruby is down to 21.2 lbs. And her daily walks have increased to 2 miles most days.
11 (3/23/08) UPDATE: Ruby is down to 19.9 lbs.! She now regularly goes for 2-mile walks. (She would prefer, though, to ride in the car, as she loves to go for car rides.)
12 (4/25/08) UPDATE: Ruby weighed in at 18.4 lbs.
13 (5/15/08) UPDATE: Ruby was today down to 17.4 lbs.
14 (6/27/08) Miss Ruby is now close to her ideal weight, at 15.6 lbs. Her skin is still pretty saggy but will probably tighten up some with time.
15 (7/19/08) UPDATE: Ruby has reached her goal!! She weighed in at 14.8 lbs.
OMG she is so svelte!!! How much has she lost since Jamboree-- I think she is thinner than my chunky butt Satch!! Good work, can you work out a diet plan for me too? Jaime

I love the video of Ruby playing. She says,"I don't care about that little yellow ball, I just want my belly rubbed!" She looks so very sweet and cuddly. Ruby seems quite happy at her foster home. I don't know how you can give them up. Bless you Foster parents!

What a cute little girl, with four terriers in this house, there is not any room for another but if there was-----Sincerely hope she gets her forever home soon.

Poor Lady! She will probably have some fun losing the pounds for her bikini this summer!!!!!! She has a beautiful face!
