1 Meet Polo!
2 She is a Rat Terrier-Chihuahua mix.
3 She is just a little munchkin, weighing 9 lbs.
4 She is about 9 years old and stands about 9-1/2" tall.
5 At the shelter, she was absolutely covered with fleas, and anemic from so many of them feasting off her. Her skin and fur were damaged from all the bites and itching, so her entire backside was very thin and bare. And her skin was very baggy, especially in the back, indicating she had lost a lot of weight in a very short time.
6 We also quickly discovered that she has an injured hind end, with her right rear leg a good deal shorter than the right, with muscle wasting and weakness. We believe she was injured, perhaps from being hit by a car, probably sustaining a broken pelvis &/or leg, then was abandoned or lost and left to heal on her own without medical care.
7 She loves to be in your lap and to be picked up and carried around.
