Patsy O'Brien is a 1-yr-old girl who was evacuated from a Louisiana shelter after Hurricane Katrina.
Like the New Orleans bar that is her namesake, she is full of fun and vitality. This congenial girl LOVES to run and play chase with her foster siblings. If no one will chase her, that's OK... she'll just run for the fun of it.
Like any sensible partier, however, Patsy knows the benefits of moderation. She is a gentle, loving girl who seeks lap time and pats. She is easy-going and makes new friends easily.
Patsy is 14" tall, about 14" long, and weighs 15 lbs.
She is very tolerant of the other dogs, even the pups, and doesn't lose her temper with them even when they annoy her. Instead, she will just leave and retreat into the house to take a rest in her crate.
Although she can run like a hurricane, Patsy can control her enthusiasm. In new situations she is alert and cautious, a little tense even, but not afraid or skittish.
She met cats at the vet and was curious but cautious with them. She gets along great with kids.
Patsy is generally a quiet girl. She has learned how to use a doggie door and has had no accidents at all in the house.
Her tail is longer than usual for a Rat Terrier, but it lets you see her adorable white ring around it.
This is my little gal, I have had her two years!!! I can't believe it, every day she gets more precious to me. She has turned into quite the little snuggler and love sponge and brings such light and joy to my life. God Bless all Foster Families, they are the best, Terry did a great job guiding me in making the right choice for my bRat pack. Patsy's new name is Jazzy in honor of the survivors of the New Orleans hurricane and for being a survivor herself. - Debbie, Mon, 26 Nov 2007 1:20PM
