Hi! I'm Martin!
I know that I look dashing and maturely debonair but I'm only about 12 months old.
I weigh about 14 lbs.
Much of the time I'm a little goofy. I love getting rubbed, scratched, and patted, and I'm not ashamed to try about any trick to convince you to pay attention to me.
It was wonderful to land in a foster home after that scary shelter and find out that my buddy Bob was already here!
We get along great. He gives me confidence and makes me realize that I really want my forever home to have at least one doggie sibling for me. Or maybe some children who are big enough to not be overwhelmed by my jumpy kisses. Or both!

My foster parents say that I'm a bit of a rascal. I don't know what they're talking about. I just want to learn about life, and what better way to learn than exploring... even when (technically) I'm not really supposed to.
You wouldn't really think I'm a rascal, would you?
See... look how calm and dignified I look as I sunbathe in the yard. (Don't let them tell you that a few minutes before I was running around with one of my foster mom's shoes.)
My foster parents tell me that I'm a good boy and that I'll soon learn all of the household rules. They compliment me on how sweet, gentle, affectionate, and good natured I am.
I am doing great on my housetraining. I don't claim that I won't ever have an accident but I definitely know that certain activities are supposed to be done outside only, and I've been getting gold stars every day.
Waiting for evening TV time when we can snuggle with the humans. In the meantime, another dog is a decent substitute.
If you've got the understanding and the patience to put up with a little bit of high spirits, and can guide my learning in a positive way, you'll find me a delightfully fun companion... I promise!
