Mandolin was surrendered to rescue because she was afraid of the cats and the toddlers in the home where she was living. In her 4 months there, she spent the days isolating herself from them, and the adopters realized she wasn't going to get acclimated, so with heavy hearts they decided to give her up so that she could find a happier life.

Mandolin is thought to be about 8 years old.

She is a little bitty thing, weighing just 12.7 lbs.
Enlarge photo 44
She is housetrained and will "go" very quickly when she is let out.

"Mandy" is a good little snuggler.

She doesn't mind being picked up, held, and handled. She likes to be around her people, but isn't clingy or licky.

So far we have not heard her make a peep.

She tends to follow us around the house, particularly if we go near the kitchen. In the kitchen she gets animated if she thinks that treats might be about to be offered.

Curled up for an afternoon nap beside my desk.

She is pretty low energy, but still alert and engaged.

"Why do you keep taking my picture??"

She gets along well with other dogs.

Rockin' her red collar!

Mandolin is fully up to date on all of her core vetting, but she needs a dental, which is scheduled for early February.
