Kiefer was adopted 12/6/06 by the Magoons (Georgia) and is now brother to our former foster Spencer.

1 Kiefer is the sweetest lovebug you could ever hope to meet.
2 He is 2-3 years old. He weighs about 25 lbs., stands 16-1/2" tall, and is 17" long.
3 He had caught the attention of volunteers at the shelter because he was so personable... and cold. (The shelter heaters were broken and he was having to sleep on the cold concrete floor.)
4 He was very thin and was non weight-bearing on his front left leg plus limped with the back legs. He had scrapes and scabs on his head, face, and ears.
5 With some tender loving care, warmth, good food, and kindness, he began to relax in his fosterhome.
6 His leg injuries are healing and he now runs around the backyard and races up and down the stairs, even though he does still limp occasionally.
7 He can have a whole conversation with you just by looking at you with his gentle eyes.
8 Generally he is a pretty quiet guy. We have only heard him bark a couple of times.
9 He is housetrained and knows how to use a doggie door. He willingly goes outside on his own just to check out what is going on.
10 He likes kids, and he was fascinated by the cats at the vet in a surprised "What is THAT?" kind of way. He wasn't sure if they were scary or not, and approached tentatively but with extreme interest.
11 He gets along great with other dogs. He is interested in them and friendly with them but hasn't really been playful with them... at least not yet. Nor does he play with toys.
12 He will be a terrific companion for a household wanting a friendly, loving, low-maintenance guy!
Congratulations Mom & Dad! I am so happy that Kiefer is joining our fur baby family! Give him extra scratches from me out here in California!

Hello . I feel so happy today because I will finally have a brother to play with. Dad and Mommy do a pretty good job, but I am sure I will have more fun with Kiefer. Thank you all at Ratbonerescues got the extra work you took upon yourself to make this happy event happen.
