Joy is an alert, lively, friendly girl who makes friends with just about everyone she meets.

She is 1 year old and weighs 16 lbs. Joy has a terrific spirit, always "up" and full of life.

Her absolute most favorite thing is a tennis ball. If you're willing, she will play with you all day long. And she always brings it back to you.

Throw it! Throw it! Throw it!

While Joy is always ready for some action, she does settle down and enjoy lap time. In fact, if you'll let her on your lap, that's the surest way to get her to "veg out."

She is sweet natured and very, very affectionate with everyone except toddlers. She does try to dominate toddlers and will get nippy with them. We can't seem to cure her of this. She is great with kids over age 6 or so.

She is usually quite quiet and she does crate well. She is also housetrained and knows how to use a dog door. However, Joy will submissively urinate if she is worried that you are upset at her.

Just about exhausted out from so much ball!

Joy has so much personality that you just can't resist her. She's got a friendly smile, a constantly-wagging tail, and a body that just oozes playfulness.

She can sometimes come on too strong when meeting other dogs for the first time, particularly larger dogs. But given a little time and reassurance, she becomes snug as a bug in a rug with them!

She is going to be somebody's Best Buddy for life.

Joy doing what she loves best. Click to watch the video clip. She would do this all day long if you let her.

Joy interests me. I found (in the middle of a highway) one of the loves of my life in October. Lilly was an elderly Rat Terrier (the vet thougth 15 years old). She passed away last week after only having her in our life 7 months. We would like to give another Rat terrier an opportunity. Thank you
