1 Meet Jazz
2 He is thought to be 7 or 8 years old.
3 Jazz weighs a slender 22 lbs.
4 He settled in here very easily, checking everything out and acting both interested and comfortable.
5 He demonstrated that he can catch a thrown ball and wants to interact with you. Seems like he expects me to grab it from him. We will work on a voluntary release.
6 But no problem... he will just entertain himself with the ball.

8 Jazz has a pretty yucky skin condition. After a week of antibiotics, his tail area isn't so horribly inflamed but it's still very irritated.
9 The area at his hip/groin is also pretty nasty. We will work with the vet on a course of treatment to get this under control.
10 He has various other areas that aren't nearly as bad but still need to be watched.
11 Within a very short time here, he showed himself to be friendly, attentive, and engaging.
12 And he clearly has experience as a lap dog!
13 Jazz knows the sit command.
14 "Oh, were you wanting to use this chair?"
15 Jazz met the little dog who lives behind us with tail-wagging friendliness.
