1 Hi! I'm Ginkgo. 2 I am 2-3 years old. 3 I weigh 15 lbs. but I'm a bit skinny, so my foster mom is going to let me gain a pound or so. 4 I impressed her at the shelter with what a calm boy I was. Now I'm showing her how gently I will take treats. 5 I am very attentive to her, even though I just met her this afternoon for the first time. 6 We are getting to know each other. 7 I'll just catch a nap on this nice cool floor while she works on the computer. 8 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 9 I figured out that this is where dinner happens. 10 You're going to feed me, right? 11 Dinner over! I'm happy! 12 So far I've been very quiet and watchful, just trying to learn the household routine. 13 I really got worn out from 2 weeks "in prison" at the noisy shelter. It was hard to relax there. 14 But I can safely relax here. 15 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 16 I was glad to meet my new foster sisters. I like other dogs! 17 My foster mom is really glad that I am already reliably house trained. 18 I got sick at the shelter (bronchitis), so I'm not up to playing much yet. 19 But with some good care and medicine, I will be on my feet in no time... so to speak. 20 What a long, strange day it has been. But I think I like it here. 21 Ok, I've been in my foster home almost a week now and I feel much better and have been having great fun. 22 My human cousins came to visit me, and I really like to play with them. 23 Daisy gives me great pats and scratches. 24 And Tracy plays with my toys with me. 25 We play catch and tug and sometimes he just teases me and pretends he is going to throw it. 26 But I am patient. 27 And I usually get the toy in the end! 28 Click for a video of me and my foster sister playing with the kids. 29 Don't you want to adopt me so that we can play together? 30 I promise to love you very much.
