Here is Miss Emmy, strutting her stuff at the shelter. She is estimated to be 8-10 years old. She weighs 20 lb. She is 14" long but has little short legs and is only 12-1/2" tall.

She is generally a very quiet girl, who moves slowly and doesn't get agitated easily.

In fact, Emmy's favorite activity is trying to keep our couch cushions from blowing away!

Emmy is housetrained... except when it is storming, and then she will resist going outside. She is very well behaved and has good manners!

Emmy just loves all people--men, women, kids. She will come up to seek pats and will gently lean against you...

...or roll over and hope for belly rubs.

Emmy really doesn't particularly enjoy being in laps (she'd rather be at your side with her head on your leg). But being petted and loved on is definitely her favorite activity.

Emmy came to rescue with mammary masses so had to have surgery to  remove all of the breast tissue and glands on one side and the inguinal lymph nodes.

The post-surgery lab reports showed some malignancy in the 4th & 5th glands, but no metastasis to the lymph nodes or anywhere else and they believed the tumors were completely excised.

Emmy has a small Rattie head but a thick Corgi neck and a thick, soft plush coat like a stuffed animal.
She has just a nub for a tail. When she is happy you can indeed see it wag and, in fact, she has this adorable circular tail wag motion.

Emmy doesn't particularly enjoy other dogs, though she gets along with them fine after an initial period of grumbling. It upsets her, though, when other dogs are playing rambunctiously near her. She ignores cats.

This wonderful girl with the dramatic eyes so deserves a loving home of her own.

Whata sweet little ole gal, I'm sorry to hear she has left us, but I know she is in a wonderful place, free of pain and young again.
