1 This incredibly friendly fellow is Duiker (pronounced "Die-ker").
2 He is 18-24 months old.
3 Duiker weighs about 12 lbs.
4 He immediately made himself at home in his foster home.
5 "You weren't wanting to sit here, were you?"
6 Duiker gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He acted a bit too interested in the crated cats at the vet's office, though.
7 He will sit on command.
8 Duiker had just a few leg lift incidents in the first few days here, but after settling in, his house training has been very reliable. And he has learned to use a doggie door!

10 Duiker loves attention and he is always ready to interact and play with you or snuggle with you whenever you want.
11 When you're too busy to play, he generally just hangs around quietly. He does not bark when the doorbell rings, although if another dog initiates that he would undoubtedly be willing to join in.
12 Loving some lap time!
13 When he first met Scott, he jumped right into his lap. Duiker was totally into the rubs and scratches, closing his eyes in ecstasy.
14 He likes hanging around the other dogs but doesn't really play with them. He does, however, love to play with toys by carrying them around the house and sometimes tossing them in the air then pouncing on them.
15 About once a day, Duiker gets "the zoomies," racing around the yard for the sheer pleasure of running. It only lasts a couple minutes, and then he goes back to his normal medium energy level. Click for a video.
