Meet Dill!

He had been picked up as a stray by Animal Control in rural Georgia.

The poor fellow was skin and bones, weighing barely 13 lbs.

After he puts on some weight, he should end up around 16 lbs.

Dill and his travelling companion, Nutmeg, were glad to get out of the shelter and into foster care!

He is immediately sweet with everyone he meets.

In the home he is pretty quiet and has shown good house manners.

He is quite low-key indoors.

He likes to snuggle with his "sister."

Even better is to snuggle in a human lap!

And he doesn't mind sharing, if necessary.

Given any chance, he likes to be near you.

He is so very gentle. Even when he was in a lot of pain after surgery, he was sweet and just wanted to cuddle.

He loves to be patted and even hugged.

Naturally he was not a fan of the cone after surgery, but he got used to it and didn't resist having it on. He is just so easy-going!

Dill has been working on his housetraining. He is coming along very nicely but still has a ways to go before he is 100% reliable.

We are not sure what he is mixed with, but he looks a lot like a pint-sized Pharoah or Ibezan Hound.
