Only one sub today and several people actively looking to sub off as they weren't feeling 100% after Wednesday's battle.
Zane took some big hits (and blocked a shot with the side of his head) today, but kept ticking.
Justin went up for a header on a cross in the first half and it went off his shoulder, heading slowly for the corner of their net. Colin followed through for the goal. 1-0 at the half.
Second half: we had chances to pad the score but didn't quite connect, then Kyle made a brilliant save on a breakaway. Rather than shooting earlier, the player swept across the box and Kyle stayed with him and stopped him!
A defensive miscue led to a City goal a short while later — then Kyle tipped a hard high shot over the bar to save the tie.
1-1 final. Tough to lose the win... but City deserved the tie. (They are in a 3-way tie for 2nd place in the league, with games in-hand.
Performance Honda beat Old Settler 3-1 today. Settler had only lost to Young Guns before that. I guess we wore them down a bit on Wednesday! |
