We had one sub, thanks to some guys making an extra effort to be there.

It was a big header game against a team that usually commands the air. We challenged and got the ball — or took them off their game and made it so they couldn't control the headers.

Andrew was in net and played very well, without gloves. Thankfully the ground was dry, so no real problem.

His BIG save came in the second half when their Lyle (#2) launched a kick from the half line. It was going just under the bar, but Andrew pushed it over.

Zane got his 7th goal of the season off a free kick from 20-25 yards out at about 20 minutes in. It was a waist-high kick that no-one blocked and the keeper totally missed it. They scored in the second half on a scrambly play. They scored again, but a guy was off-side.

That was the best total team effort and result that I have seen as a member of this team (it seems better than the 4-0 win we had vs YG)...I really liked everyone's intensity and willingness to battle for the ball. I thought we outplayed them in the first half (and they were on their game). We faded a little bit in the 2nd but were still not outplayed that much. It just goes to show everyone, including those that weren't there, that we are capable of good results versus the better teams as long as we put out the effort. Good game all.  Darren
