Kris the league Prez was pushed into reffing duty, as our scheduled ref was injured earlier. His own team were yelling catcalls from the 'beer house' but he did a creditable job.

They started with speed and skill and caught us for two early goals, then we settled down, (after Geoff's rant at half!) and were getting some fine combination plays going.

Karl, Andy and Yvon had chances but couldn't convert. Rory almost had his head knocked off when the keeper came out and vaulted over Rory to get to the ball.

We had a shut-out going in the second half but in the last few minutes they took advantage of a bit of a mix up and knocked one in.

With seconds left, Zane wove through the defence and into the box, where he was taken down and we got a PK.

Zane put it in — getting us on the scoring summary for the first time — and the final whistle blew.
