Win—dy day!

We had 3-4 subs and Concrete started one short, then were even-up. I'd say it helped us keep our legs, especially in the midfield.

We had the wind in the first half (at the coin toss, the coin blew a couple of yards over before hitting the ground) — but their keeper was getting some HUGE punts, almost like all the wind was at ground-level but not in the air. In the second half, he one-bounced a kick to Kyle.

It took a while to get our goal, but James controlled a ball in the right corner and brought it across to pass to Brenden at the top of the box. Brenden got his third goal in as many games and that was all we needed — though we needed a bit of luck and some good plays.

Daniel Arrowsmith has missed most games this year, but he was on fire in this one. He made two key clean-up saves in the first and second half, on balls that likely would have gone in.

Early in the second half, they took a hard and high shot at Kyle. It was a difficult read, with the wind-assist, but Kyle fingertipped it and it hit the crossbar then went straight up. Thankfully, the wind pushed it out.

Late in the game, their quick guy (Trevor Phelke) got in alone and had Kyle dead to rights.

Kyle came out and made himself look as big as he could... and Phelke shot way over the bar.
