Well, we're back in the winning mode!

It seemed we could do no wrong and Langley Concrete could do no right. We had the edge in possession — but it was a far closer game than the score showed.

LC is a big, hard-checking team, with strong throw-in power. They started off with a handful of chances from crosses or long throw-ins. Somehow, the ball ended up on our heads or feet and we got it out. Kyle had a hard shot to stop, that hit a divot and almost bounced over him.

After that, James got a chance in front. The keeper probably had the shot lined up, but it bounced off a defender's leg and in.

DJ followed with a long looper that fell into the far end of the net. Al "held off five guys" then passed off to Tyler Paul-Marino, who laid it off to Zane for the shoot-in.

3-0 at the half.

LC kept coming, but couldn't find our net. On one deadly chance, two of their headers collided and knocked the ball clear.

We were held off for most of the half, then Bruce walked the ball into the box and was tripped up. He scored on the PK.

D.J. ran the ball into the box for our final goal.

It was a good ball-control game, with guys supporting the ball-carrier with passing options. We also showed that we WANTED the ball when it was loose.

Ross Garrett and Johnny Shewchuk are about done their HSS season and will be joining us on a regular basis.
