Unlike the Canucks, who lost 4-3 to the Ducks on the same night: we played a full 60 minutes.

Problem was, the game was 90 minutes long!

It was a tough loss, with plenty of blame, self-flagellation and complaint to pass around. I'll stick to the facts, as I can recall them — though there is plenty of "back story" that will go untold here.

We started the game with a great shot by DJ, which cranged off the far post and out, then we traded chances with Old Settler for much of the first half.

Late in the half, Zane took a free kick from just outside the box. He bent it over the wall and down into the goal. 1-0.

Almost at 45 minutes, the ref awarded a PK for Settler. Kyle saved the first one and while we were celebrating, the ref said Kyle had moved off the line early and the shot would be re-taken.

1-1.

We started the second half with a bang. Two "long" balls into the box and DJ and Ryan Long had us up 3-1.

OSP was rattled momentarily, but came back with 3 good shots to take the game 4-3.
